Terms & Conditions
Last updated 17 August 2026
Effective date: 17 August 2026. These terms govern your use of the Dolix link shortening platform and related services. The service is provided by DOLIX SOFTWARE UTILITIES PVT LTD ("Dolix", "the Company", "we", "us"), a private limited company registered in the Republic of Maldives under company number C32862026. By creating an account or continuing to use the service, you agree to be bound by these terms and to contract with the Company.
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or continuing to use the service you agree to these terms. If you are using Dolix on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation. If you are using it as an individual, you confirm you are of legal age in your country.
2. The service
Dolix shortens long URLs into short links, redirects visitors to the destination, records click analytics, and offers a REST API and team workspaces on paid plans. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service within the plan you have selected.
3. Your account
You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for keeping your password and API keys confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
4. Billing, Payments & Compliance
Paid plans are billed in advance on the interval you select (monthly or annual) and renew automatically until cancelled. Payment, billing, applicable taxes, currency, cancellation, and refund mechanics are handled by our authorised global Merchant of Record and are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. You can cancel at any time from the billing panel in your dashboard; access continues until the end of the paid period. See our Refund Policy.
All payment transactions, checkout validations, and subscription billing lifecycles are securely processed and legally fulfilled by our authorized global Merchant of Record, Paddle.com Market Ltd (United Kingdom/Ireland). Paddle handles all global sales tax compliance calculations, corporate tax aggregation filings, card holder security compliance, and initial merchant transaction routing.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use Dolix to:
- break any law or facilitate unlawful activity;
- distribute malware, phishing pages, scams, spam, or links that deceive visitors about their destination;
- infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights;
- interfere with the security or integrity of the service — probing, penetration testing without permission, scraping, circumventing rate limits or plan restrictions, or reverse engineering;
- resell or redistribute the service except as expressly permitted.
We may remove or disable any short link that breaches these rules. Rights-holders and affected parties can report a link to ops@dolix.co; repeat infringers will have their accounts terminated.
6. Intellectual property
We retain all rights in the Dolix service, software, documentation, and branding. You retain rights in the URLs and content you submit, and grant us a limited licence to host and process that content solely to operate the service for you.
7. Service level
We work to keep Dolix available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The service is provided "as is" and, to the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, a security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You may close your account at any time. On termination your short links stop resolving; you can export your link and analytics data for 30 days after closure, after which we delete or anonymise it.
9. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill. Our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, death, or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
10. Indemnity
You will indemnify us against claims arising from the content you link to, your unlawful use of the service, or your breach of these terms.
11. Governing law and dispute resolution
These terms are governed by standard international electronic commerce principles. Any dispute, controversy, or claim arising out of or relating to these terms, including their existence, validity, or termination, shall first be attempted to be resolved through good faith negotiation. If not resolved, disputes shall be finally settled through binding arbitration or through the business jurisdiction of the fulfilling Merchant of Record, Paddle.com Market Ltd, as applicable.
